The Palæogenetic Group, led by Joachim Burger, forms part of the Institute of Organismic and Molecular Evolution (iomE) at the Faculty of Biology at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz (JGU). It is is situated in the Anthropology building on the University Campus.

DIRECTIONS

Mainz Central Station (“Mainz Hauptbahnhof” or “Mainz Hbf”) is right in the heart of the city. From here, it is a ten-minute ride by bus or taxi to reach the University Campus and the Anthropology building.

From Frankfurt Airport, proceed to the regional train station and take the S8 train to Mainz Central Station (“Mainz Hauptbahnhof”). It’s then a ten-minute ride by bus or taxi to reach the University Campus.

From Mainz main train station, take bus no. 57 to “Botanical Garden”. Alternatively, take tram no. 51 to “University”.
